The Sami Easter Festival is an annual cultural highlight for Sami people, the indigenous people of Lapland. Each Easter thousands of visitors flock into Kautokeino, a remote northern village in the Norwegian Arctic Circle to enjoy the music, visual and performing arts festival and celebrate and share their cultural heritage.
I designed and built the website using WordPress. The site has sections for Artists, Events, and a blog/news section all update-able through the admin section of the website. The site is accessible in three languages, Norwegian, English and Sami. Sami is not an official language of WordPress so I created a new language file for Sami.
